American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

First when I got there the layout is horrible I hit someone sitting in the chair, why would you put the table right in front of the door. For an ice cream store I wouldβve assumed that it would be nice and chilly in there since I came in a hot day, man it was so humid in there I couldnβt even finish my ice cream, asked for a lid and they didnβt even know what lid to give me , they gave me like 3 different ones, and finally the ice cream not flavorful at all tasted more like a fat free sugar free even with the add ons. Staff not friendly at all didnβt even get a hi or welcome.

Was beyond excited to hear that this was coming to the neighborhood. Had to get the earl grey viet coffee swirl. Did so in a small cup. The worker hooked it up! I was so pleasantly surprised at how high the swirl went. Enjoyed every single bite. You can order more than just soft serve from cupcakes to milkshakes to boba.

We were thrilled to learn that they opened a Surreal Creamery in Queens, which is a lot closer than the 2nd Ave location. I had a floatee with Thai tea and taro ice cream. The ice cream was really good, but the Thai tea was really strongβway stronger than at the other location. Because of that, I didn't love it. The ice cream, however, was really good. My son had the Cookie Monster Mason jar, and he enjoyed it. Overall, I will go back and try a different flavor bubble tea. Quick note: We had a little trouble finding the location because it didn't have a sign, but once we parked and walked to the storefront, we easily found it.

Came here for the pre-grand opening! Met the parents of the owners who are really sweet. The soft serve is sooo smooth!

Great staff, great ice cream! Christine helped me pick from their huge selection and it was delicious, the only critique is itβs a little too sweet for me, but as expected with loaded ice cream
